Angel Gutierrez is interested in illustration, motion, and publication design. They love anything that is intensely poetic & a little bit absurd. You can usually find them at a used book store, or at home with their fluffy white dog. In their own time, they self publish their own poetry, fiction, and comics.

A dating app for robots.

0101 is a dating app for robots and all who fall under the robot umbrella, including A.I., Cyborgs, Bots, and Robot Identifying Individuals. Designing UI with the users of robots in mind, for the goal of fabricating human emotion to approximate love as closely as possible was a very thrilling challenge, both formally and conceptually.

I invited myself to play within my ideas, seeking linear shapes and typographic based solutions, and stretching myself into experimental concepts with asemic writing systems, ascii typography art, and other organic ways of disrupting the idea of the binary with a strange, simulated feeling.
